Bob Schneider...Adventurous Photographer

Originally from New York…I came to the Bay Area in Northern California to further my education at the University of California, in Berkeley. For many years I worked in the Aerospace and Electronics Industry as an Electro- Mechanical Designer. I became interested in photography, as it played a large role in my profession as a Designer. I found that my interests and desires in photography as an art form were growing stronger. This exciting field offered a challenge to the artist within. In 1977, I made the decision to leave the design field, and enrolled as a full time student at, "The Glenn Fishback – School of Photography" in Sacramento, California. After a year of studies in Freelance Photography, I ventured out into the field. My interests were many, everything ranging from ballet to sports, portraiture, photo illustration, weddings, products, and scenic images..

I worked as a freelance photographer for several years before family reasons forced me to return to the stability and security of the electronics industry as a designer and to raise a family of 4 she's and 1 he. Photography was now limited, a blessing that allowed me time to evaluate my work. I selectively focused in on the more important areas that I enjoyed in my photography…Scenic and Nature Images.

In 1997 I met Lori, we mutually agreed to go on a photographic adventure to the California coast, and since then have become partners in photography, and life!  We live in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Mountains in Colfax, California (north of Sacramento, and south of Lake Tahoe.) Our efforts now are devoted to taking Photographic Adventures to selected locations on the West Coast, Pacific Northwest, and Canada. We do our photographing by Land, Sea, and Air. Our camera formats were 135mm and 120mm, and 4x5 on occasion. Our medias were negative and transparency film. Over the years we moved into Digital Imaging Technology which has opened up new and exciting experiences, while also presenting new challenges.
Our photographic journey into digital imaging has given us more flexibility and stability in our Workflow, allowing us more time to do what we enjoy doing the most...capturing images as Adventurous Photographers.

Our specialities are in Macro and Panoramic Photography .We offer Pamoramic Workshops during the year at our Home/Studio/Workshop.We exhibit our work at selected galleries on the West Coast and on our web-site.

Over the last several years we added yet another facet to our work in the ever changing world of photography.Digital Audio Visual Multimedia Productions. We produce all phases of our Multimedia Productions on CD/DVDs, for Computer, or TV.
Our Presentations include Slideshows, Photo Essays, Documentaries, Portfolios, and Screensavers. With the new age of digital technology we are now are able to explore Storytelling through Digital Audio Visual Multimedia Productions in the Fine Arts.

"Images seen with our eyes, are recorded in our minds,
then captured for all time…by the Art of Photography"
